While not everyone was delighted to see President Donald Trump visit Ireland, it’s safe to say one Wicklow company would welcome him back.
A Bray undertaker firm has made just over €800,000 for renting out a fleet of limos to the US Government for his visit.
The White House has forked out a total of approx €826,457 to JP Ward & Sons, a funeral home based in Bray, for the service of four high-spec Mercedes E Class limos.
Four separate payments of $458,871, $224,580, $134,532 and $117,050 ($935k, €826,457) were made to the family-run business according to USASpending.gov, an official US State website that records federal government spending.
According to JP Ward & Son’s website, in recent years they have “heavily invested in state of the art” luxury Mercedes E Class limos.
Their range of cars include large seven seater limousines and smaller four passenger saloons.
A statement on their website says: “Your comfort and safety are our number one priority.”
