Up, up and away … The final line-up for the Bray Air Display on July 27 and 28 has been revealed and it looks like it will be one of the best yet.
Ireland’s biggest air festival will this year be headlined by The Blades, a team comprised of former Red Arrow pilots, including Kirsty Murphy – the first and only female former Red Arrow pilot who flies alongside her husband Ben and spectators have been promised a weekend of thrilling aerobatic performances.
Some of the best display teams and individual acts from around the world will showcase their aerobatic skills and perform to thousands of spectators at the free weekend of turbo-charged family entertainment. Highlight acts will include:
- A display by a fully electric Cri cri aircraft that will take off from on top of a Broussard MH1521 aircraft while mid-flight;
- The spectacular Royal Jordanian Falcons aerobatic team all the way from the West Asian Kingdom
- Jaw dropping, dare-devil displays by Ireland’s Flying Dentist, Eddie Goggins and the UK’s Richard Goodwin
- Drone package delivery display – from a vessel moored at sea to the shoreline
thrilling line-up of the very best homegrown Irish aviation talent as well as some of the most skilled pilots
Sé Pardy, Director, Bray Air Display, said, “The award-winning Bray Air Display attracts the very best on the air show circuit – pilots love performing here to the wonderfully enthusiastic and supportive crowd against the natural amphitheater of Bray’s coastline and spectacular Bray Head. Spectators can look forward to a thrilling line-up of the very best homegrown Irish aviation talent as well as some of the most skilled pilots from across the UK, Europe and further afield.”
The free family event is one of the most popular air shows in Europe and Ireland’s biggest air festival, attracting 140,000 people to marvel at amazing aerobatics during the weekend-long event last July.
The Bray Air Display is so much more than an air show. As well as two days of entertainment in the air there’s plenty of action on the ground; enjoy the thrills and spills of the Seafront Funfair, dine alfresco at our Food Village, treat yourself and the family to a meal at one of the many restaurants throughout the town or simply bring your own picnic. You can even experience a breath-taking helicopter ride over Bray Head which all kick off from noon each day.
