Last year’s hugely successful inaugural event at Dundrum Town Centre saw DCU Saints pick up the men’s title, while Ambassador UCC Glanmire were crowned women’s champions, and this year’s competition is set to be just as fierce, with Templeogue, UCD Marian, IT Carlow Basketball and DBS Éanna just some of the men’s teams who will go to battle, while Courtyard Liffey Celtics, Fr Mathews, Pyrobel Killester and reigning champions, Ambassador UCC Glanmire will be some of the many teams vying for glory in the women’s competition.

3×3 is such an exciting form of the game

Speaking ahead of the tournament, Conor Meany, Commercial Manager at Basketball Ireland stated: “We are thrilled to be bringing the Hula Hoops 3×3 competition back once more this year, and it’s set to be a hugely exciting event at Bray Seafront. 3×3 is such an exciting form of the game and it will be great for people to be able to see it in Ireland on this scale yet again. With some of the top players in the country playing, it should be a great day of basketball and it will definitely be worth coming down to Wicklow to see what 3×3 is all about.”
