FIFTEEN local schools will benefit from improvement works next summer funded by a Government scheme.
They are Scoil Baile Mhic Airt, Carrickbeg NS, Ballyduff NS, Butlerstown NS, Scoil Naomh Muire Ballygunner, Fenor NS, Scoil Naomh Gobnait, Our Lady of Mercy Junior & Primary School, St. Mary’s NS Touraneena, Portlaw NS,Waterford Educate Together NS, Presentation Secondary School, Dungarvan College and St. Paul’s Community College.
Cllr John Cummins said the works are a vital investment for the future education of students in Waterford.
Our students and staff deserve to have a quality teaching and learning environment.
“As a secondary teacher myself I know the importance of continuing capital investment in our education system,” said the Fine Gael general election candidate.

Any school which receives funding for car parking will be required to identify a point for electric vehicle charging.
