THE Waterford’s Walls Project is in the running for an award which could net it €35,000.
Representatives of the project have made a presentation to the judging panel of the National Lottery Good Causes Awards in the final process of the competition.
Attention now turns to the awards event which takes place on Saturday, November 2.
Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to good causes all over the country and the National Lottery Good Causes Awards honour the work and achievements of thousands of projects, clubs and individuals who have been helped by this funding.
The Walls Project is the arts organisation behind the Walls of Waterford street art festival.
The project is contesting the Arts and Culture category, one of seven categories .
Each national category winner will receive €10,000 while the overall Good Cause of the Year will get an additional €25,000.
