Volunteers sought by two groups of helpers

THE Waterford Citizens Information Centre is looking for volunteers.

The centre provides free confidential and impartial information, advice and advocacy to the public on state services and entitlements.

It is recruiting volunteers to give information to people on their rights and entitlements and also to handle reception duties which include greeting callers and answering the phone.

An application pack can be obtained from Waterford CIC, 37 Lower Yellow Road, Waterford or telephone 0761 07 6580. Closing Date for applications is Friday, January 31.

AWARE: Ireland’s national mental health charity has launched a volunteer recruitment campaign for its Waterford Support and Self-Care Group.

Volunteers will need to be over 25 years, and should have good communication skills.
