Bord Bia and the Irish Egg Association are calling on chefs to celebrate the versatility of eggs on their menus
Bord Bia and the Irish Egg Association are calling on professional chefs to embrace the culinary versatility and value of eggs by featuring them on menus beyond breakfast and brunch with the chance of winning an eggciting prize.
As part of Bord Bia’s ‘Eggs for Anytime’ campaign, professional chefs and cooks around Ireland are encouraged to devise their most creative recipe featuring Bord Bia Quality Assured eggs, submit the recipe to Bord Bia and feature the dish on their menus with the chance of winning an eggcellent prize. But there is one catch! The recipe cannot be a breakfast or brunch dish or feature on a breakfast or brunch menu.
The winning dish will be chosen by Bord Bia along with food and hospitality writer, Georgina Campbell. The prize includes publication of the recipe in a national newspaper, a €500 One4All Voucher, and €500 to spend in an Irish hotel or restaurant of the winner’s choosing. Four regional runners-up will also receive prizes worth €250 each.
All entries must be submitted online at www.ireland-guide.com and accompanied by a photo of the finished dish.
Closing date for entries is Tuesday, 29th April, at 12 noon.
