On Easter Monday, hundreds of visitors attended the Wedding Fair at the Lafcadio Hearn Japanese Gardens Tramore. The recently built Azumaya (Japanese Summer Pavilion) was the focal point of the day and provided a beautiful setting on the pond for Libra Strings (Trio) who entertained everyone with a fantastic repertoire.
The Azumaya built by garden staff, Richard Cowman and Alan Molloy in true Japanese style is reminiscent of the Azumaya at Karatsu Castle in Kyushu, Japan and was designed by Mike Roberts. The building is bordered by agapanthus, camellia, enkianthus and other planting which compliment the oblong pond to provide a stunning and unique location for any wedding ceremony.
AChara wedding group also played wonderful music in the transition garden and trade stand holders included leading hotels in Waterford, wedding celebrants, flower, jewellery, well being and wedding sweet providers along with vintage wedding cars and photographers.
Garden volunteers dressed up for the occasion and tour guide Keith and model Lauren posed for photographs as bride and groom and were dressed by Bijou Bridal and Richard’s Formal Wear. Casia Flowers in Tramore provided wedding flowers for the Azumaya.
The Japanese Gardens are available all year round for wedding photographs and ceremonies, vow renewals and are perfect for any family occasion.
