This year’s Waterford and Dungarvan Lions Clubs’ Greenway Leisure Cycle will take place on Sunday 26th of May. Last year’s participants are eagerly awaiting the annual trek to Kilmacthomas, where refreshments will be available at the Rainbow Community Hall.

Cyclists from the City and East Waterford will embark on their journey from the WIT car park in Carriganore between 9.30am and 11am. Dungarvan and West Waterford cyclists will commence their journey at the Greenway at Clonea Strand at the same time.

Don’t feel left out because you haven’t a bike! Bikes are available for hire from Donal Jacob of Greenway Waterford Bike Hire at a reduced rate for the event. Contact their offices at WIT Carriganore Campus or 2 Grattan Quay on (086)1292724 for further information.

The East Waterford part of the cycle is being kindly sponsored by The Greenway Manor Hotel. Participants have raised over €45,000 for Waterford Hospice over the last two years.

Anyone who wishes to register for a sponsorship card for this year’s event can contact the Waterford Lions Club on (087)2540649 or (085)8717394.
