there is never enough money available, but we can get some work done with this money.”

“I expect thousands of our houses need to be upgraded but as always, there is never enough money available, but we can get some work done with this money.”

Cllr Kelly said he a number of council tenants who him contacted him about basic improvement such as attic insulation and repairs to damaged windows and doors needed to their houses.

“These are low cost repairs and WCCC should be able to do these quickly, but the tenants have been waiting years for the work to be done.

“While I welcome the €690,556, we need much more than this on an annual basis to make a dent in the number of houses that need the energy efficiency work done and wish the Minister to release the allocation now.”
