HOW is McDonalds Open 24/7 and Cardiac Care is not?

That is the question posed by national school student Saoirse Mullaney and the theme of her award-winning artwork.

Saoirse, a fifth class student at Ballygunner National School, won the overall prize in a competition organised in advance of the cardiac support march in Waterford on May 18.

Class winners were Lana Murphy, Gaelscoil Phortlairge; Aoife Brennan ,St John Of Gods; Hannah Power, Presentation Primary and Zoe Raethorne, Ballygunner National School
The Hand On Heart campaign is hoping to use Saoirse’s Slogan at a future Hand On Heart street event to continue pressing the case for 24/7 South East Cardiac access at University Hospital Waterford.

Mac Trans Freight agreed to provide sponsorship for the activity and local artist and HEFSE supporter Emer Spain agreed to coordinate and select winners by committee
