WATERFORD will play its part in what has been billed as the ‘biggest ever’ National Women’s Enterprise Day on October 17.

Local Enterprise Office Waterford will host a networking event at the Tower Hotel, that it hopes will inspire and educate the next generation of female entrepreneurs. The theme is Making It Happen.

Entrepreneur Muireann Fitzmaurice will deliver a workshop on developing leadership qualities. She will be followed by business strategist, Clare Dillon, who will talk about thinking and acting as leaders.

Waterford’s National Women’s Enterprise Day Ambassador, Sinead Quealy, is another scheduled speaker. She is managing director of VirtualVet, a data management company that tracks drug usage in animals in the food chain. It was overall regional winner at the National Enterprise Awards 2019.

The event takes place from 2pm to 6pm.
