Judith Condell, Business Development Manager at Bibby Financial Services Ireland

Judith Condell, Business Development Manager at Bibby Financial Services Ireland, a leading provider of funding solutions to Irish SMEs, will deliver a seminar on ‘Alternative Funding Options for SMEs’ at Wexford Chamber offices on Thursday, 4th April, advising Wexford SMEs on a number of measures open to them as they prepare for Brexit.

The free event is open to all, and will be of particular interest to businesses with concerns over cashflow, who trade business-to-business, or who are looking to expand nationally and internationally.

Even as its exact nature continues to take shape, businesses across the southeast of Ireland are already feeling its effects as a result of the fluctuating value of Sterling. Judith will speak to business owners and address their concerns over currency volatility, as well as how to deal with specific working capital requirements.

Access to consistent cashflow is a serious concern for many businesses, who may also be facing additional uncertainty as a result of Brexit. Judith will discuss the value of invoice finance in providing immediate access to cash that would otherwise be tied up in credit sales, and how businesses can reduce their exposure to bad debt from customers at home and abroad.

businesses in Wexford are often unaware of the different financing options open to them

Judith Condell, Business Development Manager at Bibby Financial Services Ireland, said: “Many businesses in Wexford are often unaware of the different financing options open to them – especially those beyond the major banks. Brexit will continue to create a lot of uncertainty and unknowns for Irish businesses for some time to come, and as financiers we have an important role to play in helping them to understand the options available to them, and ensure they thrive.

In negotiating these hurdles, business owners in Wexford will require a financial partner that can consider their current and future needs and find a funding solution that is right for their business.”

Additional guest speakers will include Michael Murtagh, Sales Manager at Euler Hermes, and Kevin McDonald, Operations Director and Colm Daly, Director of Trade Supply Solutions.

Attendance at the event, which runs from 6-7.30pm, will be held at Wexford Chamber Offices, Hill Street. Attendance is free of charge but registration is essential as places are limited. To book your place, email [email protected] or contact Wexford Chamber.
