Every Christmas is a very busy me for Carlow Choral Society. They are currently preparing for three major concerts both in Carlow Cathedral and in the Naonal Concert Hall, Dublin.
Carlow Choral Society presents a very special Christmas Concert in the Cathedral of the
Assumption, Carlow, on Saturday December 14th 2019, at 8pm. The programme includes the very festive and uplifing Missa Carolae by James Whitbourn which is based on a beautiful arrangement of Christmas Carols.
Favourites from composer Handel to include the Hallelujah Chorus and Zadok the Priest.
The audience will have the opportunity to sing their favourite carols, including ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ and ‘Once in Royal David’s City’. Hear soloists, Ceallachán Monahan McDonald, Marese Bailey and boy treble Conor Graham for some classic favourites such as O Holy Night, In the Bleak Mid-Winter and The Snowman.
The concert will feature Yvonne Collier on cathedral organ and The Dublin Brass Ensemble, conducted by Musical Director, Blanaid Murphy. Join them for this glorious celebration in the beautiful surroundings of Carlow Cathedral. Tickets are €20.00 and the concert is free for accompanied children.
